SUMMARY:May 2024 Meeting
DESCRIPTION:As we discussed and decided in the February meeting\, the SMCC 
 will be traveling/cruising to the Corvair Museum in Glenarm\, Illinois.\n\
 nMike Hall\, curator of the museum\, and the PCCA (Prairie Capital Corvair
  Association) will be hosting a picnic day for the combined clubs.  There
  will be a "pot-luck" luncheon provided for the event where they will prov
 ide BBQ Beef sandwiches to share and in turn ask that attendees bring a si
 de dish or dessert to share.\n\nLet's try to get as many of our members an
 d their Corvairs to attend this event! It should be a fun-filled day begin
 ning with the drive up there\, to the viewing of the museum\, to the camar
 aderie\, socializing\, story-telling\, and tech tips of the combined clubs
 \, and lets not forget the viewing of each others prized possessions\, our
  Corvairs! We will plan on meeting at a yet to be determined location some
 where around where Hwy 70 &amp\; Hwy 55 meet (possibly Rt 143) and then ca
 ravan up to the museum. Mike has suggested we arrive around 11:00 a.m.\, s
 o we would meet up around 9:30 a.m.\n(Jefferson Underground to meeting pla
 ce is about 25-30 minutes. Meeting place to Corvair Museum is about 55-60 
 minutes).\n\nWe can discuss this event further at our next meeting (tech s
 ession) at the Underground.\n\nI told Mike I would give him an approximate
  number planning on attending\, so please respond to this if you can make 
 it or I will see you at next week's meeting.
